Freshly renovated, responsive host, and in a peaceful neighborhood. There's two units and this is the bottom floor, so you will hear noise if guests are staying in the unit above, but this was the perfect place for us on our brief visit to Connecticut!
Incredibly clean. Recently renovated and decorated. The fenced in yard was ideal for our dogs. Walking distance to shops and restaurants in Stonington. Thanks!!
Spotless, modern, well-equipped flat - a really great stay Positive: Great house - spotless and all brand new rooms, kitchen, etc.. - perfect. Nice touches of providing extra toiletries and things that people forget to pack. Good location for us near to USCGA. Negative: Everything was great. Some very minor suggestions but absolutely not critical. I would have liked a towel bar in the bathroom to spread out and hang a damp towel, a hairdryer, and a nightlight in the hallway, but none of these are vital!

Thank you so much for the stay. The house was great for our weekend getaway and walking into town was so easy (note- have to walk on an over pass but very safe). The house was super clean and perfect for our dog and infant daughter- the high chair and pack and play was an added bonus and gave us piece of mind! There are two units at this house so when there are guests upstairs you can hear them but it was not really a bother. The grass outside was great for our dog to run around- and the fenced in backyard was perfect! The host is extremely communicative and on top of it!

Individual air conditioning /heating in each room, toiletries provided if you forgot anything, coffee & tea. Great location! Negative: Nothing!

The Whalers Rest is the perfect family vacation spot! My family and I came up around Christmas and enjoyed this beautiful home that was immaculately maintained and newly renovated. The home is spacious and the host Gerard was amazing and has the best suggestions for things to do in the area. The house is in walking distance to Indulge coffee, Noah’s and easy walk down to the water in Stonington with an easy drive to Mystic. The ideal perfect location in the perfect place!

We had a wonderful stay at Whaler’s Rest in Stonington! The beautifully renovated first-floor flat is even more adorable and quaint in person, blending historic charm with modern coastal touches. The sun-filled, open layout made it feel bright, cozy, and inviting. The queen bed was very comfortable, and the bunk beds were perfect for our family. We loved having a fully equipped kitchen and dining area — it truly felt like a home away from home. We did have a minor issue with the door and the hosts were incredibly responsive. They even came out promptly to address it, which we really appreciated. You can tell so much thought went into the little details throughout the space. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it for a perfect New England getaway!
Excellent Positive: Great location, close to the village. Accommodations were tastefully decorated & comfortable. So superior to staying in a hotel if traveling with family or friends.
This was a last minute decision to stay in CT, and we're so glad we found this gem! We chose this place because it wasn't too far from the show we were attending. The flat is very clean, and well maintained. You can tell the owners have great pride in what they're renting out. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you for being such a good host! Great place with a newly renovated kitchen and bathroom — everything was spotless. The host was super responsive and gave us great local recommendations. Would definitely stay again! Stonington is a chill little town. We loved it.
A great spot and a very attentive host! I really appreciated that they didn’t charge a cleaning fee and then ask us to clean the whole place as well. They just asked for us to load the dishwasher before we left. A very positive experience overall.
Nice new place that is well located and well organized. Host is very accessible and communicative and provided clear, easy to access instructions.
Thought it was a little pricey but I appreciate the ability to bring my 1 yr old dog with me. Yard was a huge help with him and also the two large grass areas across the street were good for getting out his energy. Overall pleased and would book again

Great spot for small family, couple or someone wanting to explore the area. Plenty of space, newly renovated. We didn’t even use all the amenities included since we were out and about most of the time. Everything we needed was there. Loved the closed off mud room to leave shoes and coats. We are a no shoes inside family. We brought our dog and it was great to know he couldn’t just get out the door loading and loading. Highly recommend and will book again.
