Great stay! Close walk to Mystic!

We had a wonderful time! Great location. We were able to easily walk to most restaurants and downtown Mystic. The house was just beautiful! Very clean and comfortable. Great for larger groups! Gerard was very responsive and helpful before and during our stay. Highly recommend!

12 family members met for a mini reunion at this house in Mystic. It’s a lovely antique house house with cheery, comfortable furnishings and plenty of room to gather. Our host was attentive and answered questions quickly. It’s an easy walk to town with many restaurants and shops nearby. The museum is a short drive or 20 minute walk.

Very responsive and pleasant hosts!

Home was clean and comfortable. We recommend curling up on the couch for a late-night viewing of "Mystic Pizza", complete with the microwave popcorn provided in the kitchen! Terrific place.

Great property. The perfect amount of space, very comfortable (though I hate memory foam beds), and super close/highly walkable to downtown. Will definitely look to stay here again!

We were looking for a place for my sister & I to have our families stay while my son got married at Harkness State Park. He planned a 4 day weekend for guests- so there were lots of logistics. Great Gulls’ home was perfect! My brother docked his sailboat at a marina a half mile from the house- we were able to walk there & downtown for ice cream & shopping. We had everything we needed to make sandwiches for excursions & dress up for the fancy dinners. Any home concerns, or questions we had were quickly addressed, so I had piece of mind to relax & have fun with my family. The check - out process is amazing!!! I am soooo appreciative that at the end of a very full weekend, the only thing I had to do was pack my bag & load the dishwasher! Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was immaculately clean, and centrally located. We arrived by train, and it was just a quick walk to the house from the station. It was also very close to downtown Mystic and the Inn at Mystic where we were attending a wedding. Very highly recommended!

Our extended family had a terrific time together at Great Gull for the holidays. Its so close to everything - town, the Aquarium, supermarket and the Amtrak train station! We loved staying here!

This is a very pleasant place in a beautiful part of Connecticut. Truly felt like home.

We were a family group of nine people in town to visit the Coast Guard Academy. This house was exactly as we expected it to be from the listing photos. Nicely decorated and very comfortable. We had access to streaming platforms which was nice. All the supplies that you might need, it felt like home! Plenty of room to park our three cars. The neighborhood was extremely quiet! We didn’t want to leave!

Th house was a wonderful place for our family gathering, and in the perfect location to explore Mystic. Gerard was beyond accommodating and available throughout our stay. We will definitely try to return again, and highly recommend it!

Perfect location for a stay in Mystic. You can walk to the bridge and downtown and everything else is just a very short drive away. Great Gull was as advertised. It was very clean and has everything you need. Any questions I had during our stay were answer promptly. Would definitely rent this property again.

Beautiful home in a great location!! The property was charming, comfortable and very clean!! The hosts made the process a breeze - easy to book, access, enjoy and leave! This will be at the top of our list for our next visit to Mystic!

The two townhomes were a perfect fit together for our family get together. We had two families and a grandparent, with five adults and five children - the homes together were a great fit, provided some privacy but we naturally convened in one of the family rooms and sent the kids to the other! Such a convenient location, and clearly the owners take great care of the homes and everything was spotless. Great weekend.

This was a charming place! It’s a single building with two separate units, and we reserved both units. The house was built in 1847, and has original flooring and wood throughout, but very nicely modernized and in excellent condition. It’s a short walk to the Mystic River bridge, and a nice little area of shops and restaurants. The owner was very responsive when we checked in with a few questions. Highly recommend this home!

The two condos were beautiful and very well cared for. Made us feel like home. And Gerard at Great Gull was extremely responsive. We had a wonderful time in Mystic and loved staying at the two condos.

Enjoyed staying here with others for a wedding in Mystic. Can’t beat the location being walkable to downtown Mystic while also being near plenty of parking. Rented both town houses and although they’re not connected, it worked out great for our party size.

Gerard may be the most accommodating host I’ve had on Airbnb. Allowed my family and I to check in early, always responded quickly to my questions, and the home is absolutely beautiful. Perfect location, didn’t have to drive to anywhere we wanted to go. If we come back to Mystic we are definitely staying here.

Location, location, location! We were able to walk everywhere which is great when Mystic is crowded in the summer! The kitchens were all updated with new appliances and well stocked with cooking utensils and dishes, the seating was comfortable, tvs in every bedroom. This is an investment property so very easy to check in and out. No need to change sheets or do any laundry when you leave! Gerard, the host was great about checking in and making sure that we had everything we needed and were comfortable. The house was built in the 1840's so be prepared for small rooms- especially bathrooms and not quite enough outlets (in the bedrooms) for everything that needed to be charged.

This was a great spot for a mini family reunion. We were able to easily walk into town. The house was great for our 3 families.

The biggest challenge with the property as a "6 bedroom" is that it's in two units (fully disclosed in the description). The two entry doors are as far away as possible from each other - opposite ends of the building. We had all kids under 6, so it made a challenge about where parents and kids were sleeping so that parents could still all hang out together after kid bedtime. Second - there is no seating that works for a full house. If all 6 rooms are being used by a large group, there is no place where everyone can sit and have a meal together. There are 8 dining chairs in Avery, and 4 in Coates - if you tote them over to Avery - that's 12. We were there on a chilly March weekend - so outdoor dining was not an option. Even there, there aren't 12 chairs.

Gerard was a fantastic and responsive host. We stayed with a few other couples for a 3 night weekend to celebrate our 40th college reunion. The home was lovely and the area was fantastic. Easy walk into charming downtown Mystic!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this house! It was clean, well-furnished, and comfortable. There were helpful touches throughout the house- extra blankets, pillows, towels, as well as baskets of toilietries in case anything was forgotten. Easy to follow instructions for how to use the tv and washing machine were provided! The house's location is unparalleled- we were easily able to walk to dinner, and it was nearby a park and the main downtown area. We stayed for a family celebration and had 6 adults and 7 children and had plenty of space. The owner was very communicative and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Gerard was a perfect host,communicating with him either by text or phone was like speaking to a friend. Our group consisted of three generations and everyone had a wonderful time.

The host was extremely helpful in providing local highlights or restaurant guides...and also was very communicative with me. I appreciated his customer service attitude. The location can NOT be beat for Mystic, very walkable to the center of downtown which was great! The last thing I wanted to note was the thoughtfulness of the host to provide amenable items for us in case we forgot to bring something...I was impressed by that. I would recommend this home for large groups.

We had a group of 8 looking for a place to stay near downtown Mystic and this place was perfect. Had enough bedrooms, comfortable accommodations, and very good location walkable to downtown. We had a lovely stay in Mystic, the house was wonderful and very walkable to many attractions in the area. Gerard was a spectacular host and everything was clean and accommodating.

We had 7 people in our party and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The check-in was easy and we were provided with an excellent guide for our stay in the Mystic area. The place was clean and had very comfortable beds. We made dinner taking advantage of the outside grill and there was a nice-sized table in one of the units to accommodate our group. The Mystic downtown area is a very short walk and from the rental location, it is an easy drive to several excellent wineries and other attractions. We highly recommend this location for people looking for a quality place near Mystic.

This is a great place for a family gathering. We celebrated Christmas early with 10 adults and a two year old. There is plenty of room in the dining room for a large group and the fully stocked kitchen made it so easy to prepare meals. The house is a short walk to the Mystic drawbridge, shops and great restaurants. We will beck back for another getaway.

The place was 100 times more than we expected!! Absolutely beautiful, spacious, clean, stocked, even had welcome baskets for things you may have forgotten (make-up wipes, tooth brush). Gerard was so so amazing and attentive! It snowed the 2nd day, and there were ppl shoveling right away! I can't express how of an amazing time we had! 5 stars!! I will def book again!!!!

A wonderful stay in a fantastic location! We rented both sides of the home while we were in town for a wedding. It comfortably fit all of us with plenty of space and different areas to gather. The home has any appliances and supplies you may need, including for children. The location is walkable to many things in downtown Mystic. The host was very proactive and friendly, checking in throughout our stay. Highly recommend!

The Avery half of great gull was excellent It was decorated in a very appealing nautical theme It was well stocked with essentials it was located close to downtown mystic but away from the traffic and tourists Gerald was amazing Very accommodating When our plans changed he helped facilitate the needed adjustments He checked in with us often and was accessible if needed The only negatives were that the mirror in the back bathroom is too high for me I would suggest a smaller mirror below it And the house is not handicap accessible There really is no way to make it such as it was built in the 1800s It did not affect us

From their app to their communication everything was wonderful. we didn't realize it was a two unit with separate entrance house but we may have missed that in the description. Everything else was extremely well done. Always flexible and responsive to every question. No issues. This is a lovely location and lovely historic home. We would do it again. Everyone was comfortable including sitting on the porch for morning coffee!

The houses were both beautiful. Because of the way it was listed, I did not realize it was 2 houses that are not internally connected. It is listed in the property description but I must have overlooked it. The property is a great location. Plenty of parking. Gerard was a great host. We walked almost everywhere which was nice. This was our first VRBO experience and we will definitely look for other houses / opportunities to book in the future.

My family stayed in both units at Stonington right before Christmas and it was great! the location was close to downtown Mystic which is so pretty around the holidays. they allow pets so my dogs and my sister in law's cat were able to stay comfortably in the home. There were enough beds for 11 people which worked our great. The host was very accommodating and responded quickly whenever we needed to reach out to ask questions. This is a great place to stay!

The host was incredibly responsive and friendly, and flexible! This location is perfect for walking to downtown Mystic and in a safe location. The parking situation was excellent, and the directions were easy/detailed RE check in and staying on the premises. There two townhouses, Avery and Coates, which are attached but separated with their own entrances; making this a great place for two families. The check out process was very smooth. Overall just an excellent place!

Our stay a Great Gulls could not have been better. Superb location. Gracious, accommodating, thoughtful hosts. Impeccable, comfortable, well equipped and delightful space. We will definitely look to stay again and wholeheartedly recommend to others.

I needed a place to stay for 6 people. This place was perfect. One house divided into 2, 3 bedroom townhouses. Mystic is a cool little town and this house is walkable to the downtown district by the water with lots of local spots to choose from. I will book this place again if I find myself working in the area again.

Hosts were communicative and very helpful! The property is beautiful and close to everything you could want to do in Mystic. Great for a larger group to stay and explore or for a wedding party like our group!

Perfect 10/10! I would give more than 5 stars if that was an option. I absolutely loved these townhomes. The host Gerard was incredible, the perfect spot for vacationing with our friends in that it was together but we still had our separate spaces, perfect location literally a few minutes to the drawbridge and mystic pizza, a few blocks to the Seaport as well (although we drove we could easily have walked). Air conditioning worked great. Kitchen was well stocked. It even had some spare toiletries had we forgotten any. I appreciated that dishwasher pods and laundry soap was available. We couldn’t have been happier. I literally already booked these townhouses for next year’s vacation already!! If you’re looking for your next AirBNB you can stop looking now!! This is the one!!

These townhomes were perfect for a mini reunion with old friends over a March weekend. The location was convenient, the homes were spacious, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully appointed. Our group had ample space to gather and also space to spread out to enjoy quiet time separately. Gerard was an excellent and accommodating host, graciously allowing us early check-in and late check-out. The homes were impeccably clean and ready for our arrival. The provided spare toothbrushes were a thoughtful touch and saved me when I forgot mine! While the property boasts six bedrooms, I'd caution adults against the bunk rooms. I didn't closely review the photos and was surprised by their small size. The Avery suite's bunk room, in particular, with the bottom bunk directly on the floor and no storage, was adequate for one adult for two nights but would be uncomfortable for two adults or a longer stay.

We loved our stay here with friends and family. Everything about the house was how it was described and there were many added touches that we appreciated. Communication with Gerard was excellent and we felt welcomed and taken care of. We highly recommend this property!

We had an outstanding time in Mystic. The property was perfect for my wife and me along with my 3 daughters and their spouses. Gerard was incredibly accommodating and responsive.

We love the townhomes and this central Mystic location so much that this was our second extended second stay there. We stayed in one townhouse and had a few friends and their daughter stay in the adjacent townhouse which gave us each our own space yet we were able to have every dinner together. The baby monitor reached the other townhouse so it was easy to have a nightcap after the little ones went to sleep. Appreciated the laundry amenities in each home and detergent to use. Thank you for another fabulous stay!!

Was a great stay , in the perfect location. Very walkable to all of Mystic downtown

The house was exactly as described. We had a large group of 10 and there was plenty of room on one side of the house for us to cook, enjoy meals, and watch TV together. The rooms were very comfortable. Communication with the property manager was excellent. They checked in daily and, when we had issues with the television, responded to our messages even late at night. (we solved the TV issue - unplug and replug!) One thing I would point out is that one of the bunk beds was more "kid-sized", and we had some concerns about whether it would be safe or stable for an adult to sleep on the top bunk. Not an issue for us, as we had extra beds, but we wanted to point it out. Overall, it was a great stay. Mystic is an awesome town and the location of this home was perfect for walking almost everywhere. We would absolutely stay here again.

This was a great space for our large extended family to spread out. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. My only suggestion would be to put a door between the two units so you don’t need to travel outside to go back and forth (especially when it’s raining).

Our stay was wonderful and we had a great time celebrating our Aunt's 70th birthday and mini family gathering at Gerard's place. We were able to check in early and the home had all the accommodations we needed and more! It was nice to have 2 separate homes so we could enjoy time apart if we needed. We appreciated the little things like laundry detergent to wash clothes and the extra toiletries in case we forgot something. The location was perfect and we could walk to many shops and restaurants in the area. Gerard was very communicative and checked in multiple times via text to make sure things were going well. Overall we had a great stay and would highly recommend!
