This cottage was so clean and fresh! We loved being close to the beach and the host was super helpful/responsive.

Our first stay with Great Gull in CT and it was an incredibly easy and relaxing stay, everything has been maintained so well here. The house was clean and welcoming. Our host was responsive, friendly, and accommodating. Our kids really loved the beach decor here too, it added to the whole experience! It really couldn’t have gone smoother, we are looking forward to coming back to enjoy the beaches and restaurants!

We used it as home base for wedding prep for my daughter’s marriage to a son from a local family. It was perfect, with space for us to live a few nights and two bathrooms for the bridal party to use for prep on the day of the wedding. “Great water pressure” said one of the girls. Great back yard where we hosted a little pizza party for the groom’s family. Gerard was very helpful with check in and check out.

We had a fantastic stay! It was nice to be able to stroll down the access path and be on the beach in under a minute. Gerard was very attentive, and the house was well equipped. Recommend!

My family loves returning to this beach cottage. The kitchen is well stocked, the decor is beach casual, the linens are plentiful. The beach is perfect for children and swimmers alike. The water is always calm, and there are many shells for children to collect. We both cook and go to restaurants. Our favorites are Reef Shack and, for bbq lovers, Post Oak Smokehouse. Gerard is warm and solicitous, ensuring that our vacation is always marvelous.. thanks again for a great time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming cottage on Fairfield beach. The location on a beautiful private beach was perfect for our family getaway. The place matched the description, looked exactly like the pictures, and was clean and fully stocked with all the necessities. The host was extremely responsive to any questions we had during our stay.

When you see the pics and read the description of the property you can expect to get what you see and read. After spending 4 nights there this week, I’m ready to plan my next week-long vacation in the same place around this same time!

Just having returned from our second stay at Great Gull, I continue to highly recommend this delightful beach cottage. It is very clean and well cared for. Both the house and the garage chock full of beach supplies offer all that we needed to have a perfect week. The beach is across the street and perfect for children: calm water, lots is shells to collect. The local restaurants are varied; we returned to favorites and discovered new ones. Best of all, the host is kind, responsive, and accommodating. We can’t wait to return!

This property is everything the listing shows and more. My pup and I enjoyed a week away at this beautiful house. She enjoyed the big backyard while I laid in the hammock, reading a book after or before I enjoyed the beach across the street for the day. Gerard made this stay even better with easy communication and just his overall kindness. I fell in love with this place immediately and within hours of arriving I had to extend my stay a day, and Gerard made that amazingly seamless. Another great stay with Great Gull! The house is decorated beautifully with beachy chic decor. The location across from the beach is perfect when traveling with small children. We enjoyed relaxing in the shaded seating area under the house, evening walks along the road, and collecting shells and rocks from the beach. Being able to bring our dogs along for the adventure is always a big positive! The super easy check in and check out process is also worth mentioning. Would highly recommend!

Very cute and very clean little cottage in a perfect location for enjoying the beach and Fairfield. Well appointed with supplies, coffee, and condiments (we were were appreciative to have.) Adorable front room with a wall of windows. There was bit of a bad smell during low tide. But you are at the beach after all so have to expect that I guess! And since the house is right on a main road you can hear cars drive by in the early morning - so if you are a very light sleeper it's something to know. I just popped ear plugs in and was fine. We would definitely consider staying again if we are ever visiting the area in the future.

We loved this home!. It was warm, inviting and clean. Many amenities are provided. The location is excellent! Not too far from downtown where there are an abundance of restaurants and all of the ones we visited, were delicious. Right across the street is where we spent most of our time with our toes in the sand enjoying the water, view and seagulls. Gerard our host was so kind and quick to respond to all communications. Most impressive was his welcoming phone call. The home has a manual full of information that is extremely helpful. Two thumbs up and a five star rating for this sweet piece of paradise!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Our host, Gerard, was very attentive and responsive. Cookware, silverware and prep items enough for an everyday feast and really nice appliances. Ample linens and towels and plenty of hot water almost instantaneously, hooray! Nicely decorated with a real sense of the beach and very clean and neat. We felt save and secure and loved the view of Long Island Sound from the light and bright dining and living areas. A short walk across the street and we were at the beach and got to enjoy a full view of the Sound as we walked along the shore. A very nice stay! Thank you, Gerard!

Had a wonderful stay here! Spent four nights with my family - the communication with the hosts was fantastic, checkin and out was very easy, the location is fantastic. Having the two full bathrooms is great for a group like we had and the working space / table up front made for a great workcation

Very cute place. We visited in March so it was super cold and rainy and we didn’t get to see much of the area. We did get to take a walk on the beach and saw 6 deer only about 10’ away! The rooms were a bit smaller that I had expected but, it’s a beach cottage! Nice dining area with a great view. Super cute entry porch area to take off your shoes and leave your bags so the house stays tidy. Host was very responsive.

The best stay for reunion weekend. Very clean, easy check-in and amazing communication by host, Gerard. Location was great and having beach access was key! Would definitely recommend!

The cottage was a perfect spot for a week away as well as being incredibly convenient to all Fairfield has to offer. It was especially nice to have access to our very own private beach. JThe hosts were incredibly responsive and I found their checkout procedure to be the best I have ever experienced at an airbnb. I hope to visit again next summer!

The property was perfect for our three couple stay plus our pooch. The private beach access made it a peaceful place the enjoy a relaxing beach vacation. The house setup was great for evening socializing and some great meals around the large dining table. No bad things to say about the property.

We had a fantastic stay - the accommodations were just as listed and the location in Fairfield provided easy access to the beach across the street. We will look to stay there again when we return to Fairfield!

We loved staying at Great Gull. The house easily housed our family of 5 with plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces to relax. The home is clean and well stocked with kitchen basics (including coffee and spices) for cooking and the bathrooms included toiletries. Convenient access to the beach - we loved hanging out in the private back yard and patio. We would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay! Such easy access to the beach was so convenient. You’re definitely better off venturing out after high tide to enjoy the most amount of beach and there are a lot of shells that make being barefoot challenging. We did arrive after major storms which could have contributed to that. The house was spotless with everything you need to be comfortable! We did not utilize the outdoor space but definitely would have if the weather was drier! Definitely would stay here again.

Overall a very smooth and enjoyable experience.

Positive: The bathrooms were well supplied with toiletries and fluffy towels, and the kitchen had a coffee station. There were beach chairs, lawn games and beach towels available. Negative: The queen and double mattresses were saggy and uncomfortable. The queen bedroom was ill configured with the bed pressed up against the window air conditioner. All three bedrooms need reading lamps. The ice maker was broken, and the showers were difficult to turn on/off.

Great location with beach access a few steps away from the home, very clean and nicely decorated. Kitchen had everything we needed for a family with young children!

We loved our stay on the beach in Fairfield. Gerard was truly an all star host and made us feel so well taken care of throughout our stay. Access to the water was super easy. We loved kayaking, walks on the beach, and easy walking distance to great coffee and breakfast sandwiches. We would absolutely stay here again!

Gerard was incredibly responsive and helpful! The beach has a ton of shells and it’s pretty small, but pretty! Would recommend !
