What a fun little spot! The renovation of this old mill was done very well. Very large kitchen area, small space to cook but all the cooking necessities were there. Large bedroom in back, 2nd bedroom is so tiny but worked great for our 2 kids just to sleep. Bathroom beware is very low ceiling and small so my 6’4 husband couldn’t really stand in it except the shower. Location is so perfect and close to Southport and just 10 min to Westport town. Only thing is it’s on busy Post Road and no sidewalk so never walked with stroller and kids from the Airbnb. Never felt like street was too loud for sleeping. Gerard and his staff were beyond helpful and responsive for our month long stay.

This place is as unique as it is great. Comfortable beds, space, super easy check in/out, TVs in each bedroom and living room. Sonos speakers were also a big hit with our family too. This place should be on the top of your list!

Gerard was clear with his communications and replied quickly to any questions we had. The space worked out perfectly and it was convenient to have a washer and dryer available in the building.

The spot matched the description and had a good vibe and feel. Though the location was not ideal for an easy walk to other attractions, it was an easy Uber/Lyft to the surrounding areas.

This is a great, conveniently located space in Westport with easy access to shopping, restaurants, and activities. The space is clean and well-appointed. This was our second time staying here for a girl’s weekend and we’ll definitely stay again next year.

We loved staying here with our two kids (age 5 & 2). Super clean. Easy check-in. Kitchen is well-equipped. Beds are comfortable.Fast wi-fi. Smart TVs w/ streaming services. The whole place has a really nice vibe. The co-working space is a really nice bonus, as well. Gerard is such a friendly, helpful host and we'd be excited to stay here again.

We had a lovely stay. This apartment was perfect for our family of four. The overall vibe was so relaxing and comfortable. We felt at home. The Village Deli across the street makes great sandwiches. I personally enjoyed watching the deer frolic around out back in the morning. Gerard is an excellent host and available to help in any way.

The apartment has many amenities within walking distance, including a grocery store. The only downside was that the unit is on a main road so there was some traffic noise, especially in the Frida bedroom.

This was a great place to stay! The location is close to the water and very cute apartment! Easy parking, great communication from the host, and very clean! We really enjoyed it!

We enjoyed our stay. Beds were VERY comfortable, and kitchen is beautiful and fully stocked with everything you’d need to cook! The bathroom is small (could be tough for very tall or very large people), without much counter space, but clean and functional. The views out the kitchen windows and those overlooking the marsh are beautiful. Definitely check out the downstairs coworking space for a lovely waterfront view and a peaceful place to work or read. Gerard was a fantastic and responsive host.

Excellent apartment and host! Great Gull made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. This is a great location: easy train access, beautiful nature, coworking space, shops and restaurants in walking distance. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Communication was timely and the host was very kind, yet this place is not ideal for more than 4 people - the walls are thin and the bathroom is tiny. The cost felt high considering the lack of attention to detail (no hangers, light bulbs out, sink and shower did not drain well) and strange location. I hate to leave a less than ideal review when the host is kind but setting expectations so others are not disappointed when spending $300+ a night.

First class on every level !

Lodgings very clean, attractive and comfortable. Host friendly and attentive; Laundry facilities had everything I needed. Overall, we had a completely satisfactory stay.

We enjoyed our stay! The decor is so eclectic and cool. We didn't spend much time in the apartment but I especially enjoyed the sitting room where I watched Wimbledon. There is a very good local bagel shop right across the road. The only negative is that we were really intrigued with the idea of renting a waterfront place. And there is no water. I am assuming Mother Nature has taken a turn because it is obvious that there used to be water.

Great Gull of Westport is uniquely decorated, cozy and has everything you need. Plenty of restaurants and cafes to enjoy. Beaches are close by! My stay was perfect. Gerard stayed in touch and made sure everything was ok. I would recommend staying at any Great Gull locations as they strive to make your stay relaxing and comfortable.

Cute apartment in a convenient location. Easy access to nearby beaches and towns. We enjoyed watching the birds and deer in the marsh behind the building.

We had a lovely three-night stay at this property with our 3-month old son. The unit is spacious and very well decorated, and contains all the necessary supplies we needed. Check-in was easy (be sure to flip the outside light on if you intend to come home late or else it gets dark out there). Our host Gerard had excellent communication and called to check on us a few times, and was responsive to our needs. We even got a tour of the downstairs workspace with an interesting history lesson, so I recommend heading down there for a few minutes even if you don't need to work during your stay. We didn't have any issues with outside noise despite being on a popular road. However, note that if you're not familiar with the area, it's not really in a "walkable" location as it's on a busy main road. However, many restaurants, coffeehouses, etc. are a short drive away. There are a few businesses downstairs and the tenants were friendly. Parking is easy and private and we felt safe the entire time. A few other things to note: - The bathroom is small and doesn't have a tub, but we managed just fine. Just something to keep in mind if a tub is necessary. - There is a window in the shower, so when showering at night in the dark we felt pretty exposed and ended up showering with the lights off. The window fogs up after awhile but it still felt oddly creepy. - There are steep steps once inside in order to access the unit, so folks with mobility issues or small children should be cautious. - The second bedroom is quite small and is really just a bed and dresser. We found it to be more of a cozy reading nook and it worked for our family, but if you're traveling with another couple or unrelated friends, that second room isn't exactly a "room" in the traditional sense. - The TV remote in the living room works on all the TVs in the unit, so occasionally if you try to turn on the living room TV it also turns on TVs in other rooms. We scared our baby who was napping in the spare room when the TV turned on loudly unexpectedly. We've stayed in dozens of AirBnbs across the country and this was up there with the top 5 as far as cleanliness, size, layout, etc. We loved all the little personalized touches, including the champagne and lovely note awaiting us upon arrival. And as mentioned, the host is stellar and truly loves what he does. If traveling to this part of Connecticut, we highly recommend this place!

Loved this unique apartment on the Southport/Westport line. Perfect for our group of three, all of whom grew up in the area. A bright, cheerful, private space that was perfect for hanging out, sharing meals and late night chats. The beds were very comfortable. Bathroom small but tidy and worked well for us. Access to a full sized washer/dryer was super helpful. The location is perfect is you are on the move during your stay— like as a wedding guest. Not a great pedestrian neighborhood, but wine shop, nail salon, grocery store, blow dry bar all nearby. Thanks for the great stay.

Lovely, cozy apartment and extremely responsive host. I was traveling alone for a work trip and felt extremely safe. There were a few hiccups during my stay but Gerard was always very receptive and did his best to fix the problems promptly. Of note, the apartment is along a busy road so road noise and street lights were pretty bothersome, especially in the master bedroom.

This is a lovely home with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. My family and I really loved the apartment and will definitely love to stay here when we're in the area. Check-in/check-out was super simple and communication with Gerard was a breeze! Definitely recommend this home to anyone visiting Westport and the surrounding areas.

My family had a wonderful stay at this recently updated and well-appointed space. It was filled with light and had views of a green field. While on a busy street, the unit is far back from the road and feels restful. The bathroom is very small but we did not mind as it worked out fine for our family of 4. We did not cook but the kitchen was sizable and new and had a huge table where we played board games.

Great Gull Apartment was a beautiful place, well appointed and convenient to stores, coffee shops and the highway. It was extremely clean and comfortable, and a great value for the money. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their place!

The interior was cleverly appointed with an array of famous prints by famous artists (Vermeer, Van Gogh, Kahlo) applied with decoupage onto the furnishings. Space was immaculate and kitchen area is well suited for dining in. Bathroom is small. Space was tight for six people with one bathroom but would be perfect for 2-4.

Our stay was great for our family! We loved the bright natural light, colorful decor, and space for us to enjoy coffee and card games. The space was clean and we felt right at home. It was great to have grocery and restaurants within walking distance. While we didn’t have the need for the coworking space, it was beautiful and nice to have washer and dryer access. The sleeper sofa would be best for kids, though our adults said it was great once they slid the mattress onto the floor. Our host was fantastic, provided excellent and really clear instructions, making our stay and check in stress free. When we contacted them, the response was almost immediate, and they accommodated a special request for us. If we ever need a stay in this area again, I’d absolutely be back!

We had a weekend stay at Great Gull and we loved every minute of it. The apartment was bright, clean and very comfortable. Gerard provided every detail to make the stay stress-free. He was available to answer any question, and provided many good recommendations for local dining and activities. Close proximity to downtown Westport and Fairfield, with beautiful walkable neighborhoods behind the apartment. The renovated work space on the first floor is gorgeous and I would highly recommend checking out. We look forward to staying here again!

This is a really great space with wonderful art work and layout. If you get up early, just sit and observe the myriad birds in the meadow behind the building. Also, the co-working space in the lower level is wonderful! Really inspired design and great views. The hosts are very good at checking up to make sure all is well.

The apartment was really wonderful - it was very clear the owner took a lot of pride in making the stay very comfortable for his guests. Everything that you need is provided (including coffee, toiletries, noise makers, laundry detergent, etc.). The location is peaceful and part of a beautiful historic mill. My family stayed here while we were having work done on our home and really enjoyed it. We would certainly come back.

Enjoyed our stay. Place was clean and met our needs. Kitchen was on cool side with the large windows, we had snow and crazy rain storm during stay. Rain caused a leak but Gerald was quick to respond and stated he will address with contractor. We didn’t plan on being stuck indoors for a few days because of weather but it would have been nice to have some board games and cards to help pass the time. All in all the stay was great.

This was the perfect place to stay for me and my family, it felt right at home. the decor is unique and gives a cozy feel to the apartment. Our kids enjoyed watching their shows on the smart TV's. The apartment offered everything we needed. The workspace below was very nice. Gerard was immediately responsive and helpful and called us on the first day to make sure everything was going smoothly. It is very close to shops including great bagel shop across the street and grocery store within easy walking distance. Great choice for our stay in Connecticut!

This apartment is converted from an old mill. It has a homey historical feel to it. The furnishings are comfortable and modern. It's centrally located for either Westport or Southport - all easy drives of less than 5 minutes. Excellent place to stay!

We loved the old Sasco mill apartment. It was very comfortable, clean, nicely renovated and well-appointed. The beds were super comfy. The location couldn’t be beat. We were in the middle of everything we wanted to see and do. Gerard was extremely welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed. We requested a late checkout and he accommodated that as well. A couple of drawbacks were the VERY small bathroom, and although we were happy to have a washer and dryer, it was located in another part of the building in the business center so it wasn’t convenient. Unfortunately, during our stay, the outside door handle broke off due to the door being so difficult to open and close. It didn’t prevent us from using the door or locking it so this didn’t end up being an issue. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here.
