We had the perfect stay at this adorable, quaint home. Perfect size, perfectly decorated and so close to everything!

We stayed at this Airbnb for a month and it really felt like home. The location is very walkable to all of Mystic’s downtown locations and is close to the water. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and made a month stay very easy. We had a great visit and would stay at this property again!

This is a lovely historic house in central Mystic. Extremely clean, we definitely appreciated the AC in every room and tv as well. There’s an Alexa speaker in the living room already linked up. Kitchen was stocked with all the basics as listed. We didn’t use the laundry but it’s there. The rooms get fantastic sunlight, bring your eye masks.

Absolutely FABULOUS AirBnB experience with Great Gull! Gerard was an amazing communicator prior to, during and after our visit! The house is lovely and we had local family over as the great floor plan made it easy to accommodate guests and great conversation. The dining room table is wonderful for entertaining family and friends! The location is unbeatable and the house is just lovely and well done. We will definitely be back!

Recommended! Location: residential block on the stonington side of mystic (near a CVS and wine shop), about a 6 min walk to the other side of the bridge so great location. House: half of a very old house that is updated/modern in fixtures but still has cool touches like wide plank floors. Doesn't have central air, but the window units work very well with no need to fiddle with them. 3 bedrooms, 2 of which are great, just be aware that the 3rd is big enough to support a bunk bed and the space to walk to it, nothing else. Gerard was helpful and responsive. Great place to stay in a great town!

The house was perfect for our staycation with some out of town friends. Having grown up in Mystic and still living in the area it was nice to feel like a guest. The location let us be close to town to walk but far enough from noise that the place was so relaxing. The hosts made sure we felt welcome and needs were anticipated. I would let any visitors who are there on Sundays know that it’s proximity to a church means there are bells. Those who weren’t already awake were given an 8am surprise.

Amazing stay absolutely recommend to anyone looking to take in the Mystic culture. Everything is around the corner! The house was squeaky clean and the customer service was 5 out of 5!

We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodations were as described, and the nautical theme really made it feel like we were on vacation. We appreciated all of the small things that were provided to make our stay more comfortable (coffee, board games, etc.). The location is terrific for an easy walk to the Bascule Bridge, shops, and restaurants. Communication with the host was very easy, and he was very responsive to questions. If we're in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this property.

What an amazing location!!! Hosts were super communicative and the house was very clean. We would happily stay again next time we are in town. We especially loved walking into town and home after a delightful meal. Highly recommend!

A fabulous place to stay in Mystic! A beautifully renovated, furnished and decorated home that has everything you could possibly need. We could not have asked for a better host either. Gerard answered all questions we had and made us feel right at home.

The home is exactly as shown in the pictures. Very, very clean and the host thought about all the little amenities that made the stay so enjoyable.

Great place in Mystic, walking distance to everything downtown. The home was beautiful and it had all of the things you’d need so you don’t need to bring much. The bunk bed room is very tight, only beds really in there, you will need to store everything for the kids staying in there outside the room, but that was a minor inconvenience.

Amenities that you would expect at a vacation destination but you rarely find at an Airbnb such as coffee, creamer, sugar - all included! Cleaning fees actually worth it because they don’t expect you to clean the entire place before you leave. Very friendly host. Highly recommend

This was my first Airbnb. Gerard of Great Gull was fantastic. He would check with us on occasions to make sure that everything was perfect. When I had any questions, he would return my text immediately. I spoke with him on the phone on a couple of occasions. A perfect host. On one Saturday, the temperature reached -5 degrees. The bathroom pipe froze. I texted Gerard but another host texted me back, Sheri Ann. She advised me that Gerard and his entire family had come down with a very bad case of the flu and that he would be out a few days. Sheri Ann was extremely helpful. She called the Maintenace person, Dan, to come to the house and fix the pipe problem. Within one hour, he came and fixed the problem. Sheri Ann was very nice and professional in the absence of Gerard. Great Gull should be proud of both Gerard and Sheri Ann. Thanks to them, I will never pay for a hotel stay again. Gerard texted me the day that we left and thanked us for being fantastic guests. Thank you both. Kim.

What a perfect space and stay! Visited this great location with our teenage grandkids. Plenty of space and very comfortable. Big kitchen that is well appointed. Super big dining room perfect for our evening board games. Easy walk to downtown Mystic and the Seaport. All in all a truly great stay!

We have stayed at a few of their other properties and they are all beautifully decorated, sparkling clean and in ideal locations (usually within walking distance to shops, restaurants, etc.). Gerard is an amazing host. Thoughtful, responsive, and attentive. The townhouse is in a wonderful and convenient location. It is an easy walk to Mystic restaurants and shopping. The many area attractions are easy to get to from the house. The house, itself, is extremely clean and comfortable with a private fenced in patio in the back. This was our second stay in this townhouse and we would not hesitate to stay here again. You really can’t go wrong with Great Gull and Gerard.

Stayed here with some friends and our children. Great space for us, high chair and gates were provided. Laundry was a bonus and very useful. Clean bathrooms and bedrooms, enough space in queen rooms for pack n plays. Comfortable beds. Great location, walking distance to downtown Main Street Mystic. Nice little outdoor patio with chairs and table. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful trip! Everything about the home was great for our family. We had plenty of room, the home was very clean and had everything we could have needed for our stay! The home is in a great location and is easily walkable to many shops, restaurants and places to explore! Derek from Gull Island was very responsive and made it very easy to check in and out. The checkout process was very streamlined (no chores) making for a very all inclusive experience!

What is really special about this rental is the host Gerard and his family who treats me also as their own family and making sure that I am well taken care of while I stay at his place. We had an amazing stay at The Avery! The house is great: it’s very spacious, painteresque and clean. Everything is ready for you to have an amazing time. The location couldn’t be any better. Best of all is Gerard, the host. From the moment we got there until we left, he was amazing and very easy to communicate with. Check in and check out was a breeze. My kids were delighted with the house and didn’t want to leave. We are looking forward to coming back!

My family and I went to New London for a very special occasion, my daughter's graduation from the USCG Officer School. Staying in Mystic made it magical for all of us. Our stay was brief but enjoyable. The home's decor is nicely done. Gull is super attentive and responsive. We would happily stay here again.

Perfect for a visit to Mystic. Near the center of action, yet private and removed also. Everything we did was a walkable distance - though we did use the car since one of us has mobility issues. Host was readily responsive and checked in on us to see how we were doing as we checked in and after we settled. Very friendly and helpful. Nice to have good coffee and tea available in the kitchen, and very nice setup in the bedrooms.

This airbnb was just minutes walking to the bridge and all of the restaurants and shops that Mystic has to offer. And, less than 5 minutes driving to the aquarium. Gerard was so communicative, checking in through airbnb, text, and even left a voicemail to make sure everything was working out and check if we needed anything. The house was extremely clean, and also outfitted in items that made our trip with two toddlers easy. We didn't need them, but appreciated the gates for the stairs and the extra pack n play in the closet. We loved the step stool in the bathroom so the toddlers could reach to wash their hands and the highchair plus booster seat so they both had somewhere to sit while in the dining room. We were able to cook full meals in the beautiful kitchen. The set up of the house was also perfect for two families. There is a shared bathroom downstairs, but both bedrooms upstairs have their own. The decor was lovely and unique. We would definitely return!

Great Stay in a beautiful home

We loved this home from start to finish! Very clean, spacious, and perfect location on top of excellent service from host. Will absolutely recommend to others!

Highly recommended. We were just two adults but the house was well set up for a family. Positive: Perfect location, close to town but away from crowds and traffic. Lots of nice touches like the box of essentials and makeup remover in the bathroom. Truly everything you need is here. Negative: Decor might not be to everyone's taste. And there is not much outdoor space.

Our family of six really enjoyed our stay! This was a stop amongst our New England road trip and was a perfect retreat. We made use of the washer and dryer to refresh our clothing inventory and the kids all had an actual bed to sleep in. I enjoyed the “old charm” of the house with the really neat, old, squeaky natural wood floors and the nautical decorations all around the house (all very well done). Everything worked as it should and we had no problems. The owner was very friendly and easily accessible by text if we needed anything. The house’s thermostat is locked a tad chilly for our preference (68 degrees) but space heaters were available to warm the spaces we were in and warm blankets were all over the house. We do suggest bringing warm socks or slippers if you’ll be visiting in the colder months. Close to some fun family attractions (we enjoyed Olde Mystic shopping and the aquarium)!

This place is very cute and historic, located right in between downtown Mystic and Olde Mystic, with downtown being easily walkable. The place was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The host was extremely professional and friendly. They have a great process for proactive communication and make resources available to learn how to navigate things around the house. This is not one of the places that charge you a cleaning fee and then do it themselves, there’s a professional crew and they do a great job because the house was very clean. I definitely recommend the place.

He was hands down the nicest VRBO property owner we’ve ever experienced, and the four of us have had a bunch over the years. Any question we had he responded immediately, and was super polite. This is the best rental we’ve stayed in Mystic. Perfect location (minutes to the drawbridge) and the house is exactly as listed. Great decor, super clean, any amenity you’d like or need in the kitchen and bathrooms and the beds were firm and comfy. The bunk room was very small (it is an old house) but ample for 2 teen boys. The host was super helpful and responsive. Highly recommend.

It was immaculately clean and had everything needed.The location to downtown Mystic was wonderful as you can walk in in less than 10 minutes and avoid having to park downtown.We would definitely stay again and highly recommend this property.And the host was very responsive and accommodating to a request I made .A '10' in every level.

Our stay was fantastic. The house is absolutely gorgeous and had everything you needed. Very clean, comfortable beds, children friendly. The host was incredible. Not a day went by that he didn’t check in to see if we needed anything. Great shopping, great restaurants, so much to do around town. Loved every minute of it and can’t wait to go back!

This house was a great location, but I thought the yeard would be better fenced-in for our dog based on the photos, but it really is not fenced in: there are multiple areas that even large dogs could get out. This was a major reason why I selected this house over others. So we had to walk her every time we let her out, and then almost everyone's grass (including the house we were staying in) had signs saying not to let your dogs or children walk on the grass due to recent pesticide placement. The only other gripe was that it was very difficult to control the upstairs temperature. Other than that, our stay was lovely, the house had everything, and we really loved the location.

Really enjoyed our stay and the convenience of the location. It’s close to downtown, but on a quiet street. Easily walkable and very comfortable. The house had character, but with modern finishes in the kitchen. Really sweet, well-furnished, and clean.

The perfect Mystic stay! Positive: The Avery condo was absolutely PERFECT! It was comfy, had all the amenities (and more) that we needed, and it was decorated so beautifully! My daughter and I felt right at home from the minute we walked in. The rooms were awesome (my 11-year old loved the bunk bed room) and the beds themselves were so comfortable. It was so nice to have 2 bathrooms upstairs, as well as a half bath downstairs. We had an issue with the heat the first morning we were there, and Gerard had his HVAC guy there within 30 minutes, and the issue was resolved immediately. The location was perfect for Mystic! We walked into town from the house to get breakfast one day and walked over the bridge for shopping and lunch the next day. Any time we stay in Mystic, we will be sure to book this home again! Thank you, Gerard, your home was perfect!!!! Negative: Not one thing!

My family and I visited during our annual visit with our finally in Mystic. This was the first time renting here and we would absolutely rent here again. It is an amazing location, easy to walk right into Mystic, but one block away so you’re not in the noise of it all. The space was perfect for us and we felt comfortable the whole time. The hosts were proactive in communications and were clear and really friendly. Highly recommend this place and this host.

This historic house is beautifully decorated and had plenty of room. It’s within walking distance of downtown Mystic. We enjoyed the back patio on sunny days and loved walking to our favorite coffee spot “Lis” every morning. This is our second time staying at this house and will always try to reserve it when we return. The hosts are wonderful and responsive.

Location is fantastic for a stay in Mystic! Restaurants, shops, drawbridge all within a few blocks. Parking was never an issue with a driveway spot and street parking right out front nearly always available - even on a holiday weekend. The house is very charming and fairly easy to settle into. Super clean, everything in good working order, and with nice furnishings. Old house vibes - bring positives and slight negatives. High ceilings, great light from tall windows, beautiful woodwork, mantles, and wide plank floors all appreciated. Creaky floors and very little counter space in bathrooms (again, to be expected in a 175 yr old house!) may make a stay difficult for larger families with different sleep schedules and shared bathrooms. Our son fell in love with the nautical decor and bunkbeds! We would definitely choose to stay here again.
