Great place in a great location. Place was clean, easy to check into, and host couldn’t of been nicer. Would recommend!

What a great place! A short, beautiful walk (5-10 min) along the river to Downtown Mystic. Plenty of room for our family of 7, especially with the detatched sleeping cabin. We didn't have a chance to cook, but the kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, cookware, utensils, and even a microplane grater. WOW! Washer/dryer in the basement with detergent provided was an absolute plus. Gerard and his team are exceptional. We cannot recommend this place and Great Gull highly enough.

My family and I stayed here for my wedding weekend! It was an absolute perfect stay! Wonderful location, great size, comfortable beds, very clean, and our host Gerard was wonderful to communicate with! I would highly recommend!!

I wish I could give this stay 10 stars! This was our second trip there and, like the first time, we absolutely loved it. The house itself is beautiful, with more than enough space for a family of four and a dog. Everything is impeccably clean and newly updated. It has views of the Mystic River on a quiet street in a quiet neighborhood that is still very close to town and right next to the Seaport. You are able to walk everywhere in 15 minutes or less, and between my two young boys and my puppy, that 15 minutes would be even less if we were able to do a normal pace. The house is steps from the river and the provided kayaks are perfect for exploring on the river. Check-in and check-out were a breeze and Gerard is excellent at communicating. My boys (and my wife and I!) were sad to leave, and we are already talking about a third trip up there. This house is very highly recommended!

This home and the hosts were absolutely lovely. The host was incredibly responsive during booking, the weeks leading up our reservation and throughout the stay. Everything was where they said it would be and the location is impeccable. Absolutely adored staying here and would be happy to return!

Such a great house! Walkable to downtown, but still quiet and peaceful! Gerard was an excellent host and communicator. Had a lot of great suggestions and recommendations. There is a lot do and the house provided the necessary equipment for kayaking and biking. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay in Mystic. The photos don’t do this home justice - we were all blown away by the charm and the quality of the linens. It felt like a luxury hotel experience with your towels placed perfectly on your bed upon arrival. It is so obvious that Gerard’s homes are a passion project and that he cares deeply about his homes and the experience of his guests. He was so wonderful, checked in to introduce himself via phone and see how our stay was going , was more than accommodating and had a wonderful knowledge of the area and the the town’s history. Just truly incredible all around and worth ever single penny.

The place is very nice - great New England style, lots of space, great location, clean, as-described, and included a ton of amenities. I really appreciated the extra little touches like the basket in the bathroom that contained things you might have forgotten (little packs of tissues, extra toothbrush, etc.). The host is also excellent. Helpful, made room for us to have an early check-in and late check-out (I'm sure this isn't always an option but it's great that they'll allow it when possible when I think many hosts always stick to policy). Also the check-out instructions were very reasonable, which is another letdown I've had at other Airbnbs recently. Anyways, if this house looks like what you want then don't hesitate to book! Also I hadn't been to Mystic in years and the town is even better than before. There's a lot to do, great food, very walkable. We really liked the cafe Sift and the restaurant Oyster Club and the Port of Call.

What a wonderful house. The location is perfect for visiting Mystic, the place is adorable, comfortable, and has everything you need. It was the perfect place to stay with my adult children with spaces to hang out together and private space for everyone. We were ready to move in and stay forever. This place was perfect in every way. As frequent air bnb guests we really appreciated that the cleaning fee goes to cleaning! We weren’t asked to clean the house before we left which was a refreshing change from other places we’ve stayed (which also had substantial cleaning fees.) We hope we get to stay again sometime.

It’s a great location and a great house for larger groups. We were in town for a wedding and 6 of us stayed over a weekend. The house is a 10 min walk to downtown Mystic and about a 5 min walk to the Engine Room and a cute bakery and juicery. The house was spotless and the hosts were in communication frequently leading up to our stay. We would highly recommend this property!

Gerard and the whole Great Gull team provided an excellent stay for us. The home is furnished and decorated to fit the mystic sailor theme of the town, which really adds to the experience. A few steps away, you’ll see a beautiful view of Mystic & the Mystic River. The neighborhood itself was very peaceful and calm. Also, the location of the home is central to all the wonderful activities Mystic has to offer. The bikes Great Gull provided came in handy during our stay as Mystic is a wonderful town to explore by bike or foot. Lastly, I’d like to include that the responsiveness/ communication and overall hospitality was outstanding! We will definitely be staying with Great Gull again. Thank you!

The house was perfect! Just as the pictures showed - cute open downstairs, and the upstairs bedrooms had enough space. The guest house was a bonus room with a full bathroom. Easy 7 minute walk into Mystic center which has adorable shops, restaurants and ice cream shops. The host was very responsive and easy to communicate with. I’d definitely recommend staying here, it was great!

This charming luxurious home was exactly what this mom needed after a long drive from FL with 3 kids and a dog needed. Gerard was attentive to our every need. This home is wonderfully close to town (if kids don’t complain about walking to town you know it’s close). It also was less than a 4min walk to the beautiful Mystic Seaport Museum. Which is free for CT residents. And very inexpensive for out of state ppl. Everything in this home was charming, clean, and convenient. Having towels, sheets, and various items needed in an Airbnb makes life for a mom a true vacation. Kitchen appliances are top of the line with a gas range in the kitchen. Ever bedroom had a tv, fabulous beds and bedding. A cute patio in the back or big porch on the front for enjoying the crisp Mystic air morning, noon or night. My kids were beyond excited to see the extra room in the back that was renovated to the highest quality that I almost opted to sleep in the quant cabin w/ a bathroom myself. It has a brand new bathroom and water view. As if all of this was not enough, there were two new bikes, and kayaks. The water is extremely close to get the kayaks in. All around my kids and I loved this home. And we will be back.

9 Isham Street is a lovely, nicely located, well-appointed home within short walking distance of Mystic Seaport's downtown shops and restaurants. The home is one house away from a public access ramp to the Mystic River which was a nice plus for our family of kayakers and bikers. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and our host was very responsive and helpful.

The house was beautiful. It really felt like a home away from home. The location is great everything is in walking distance. A great place to come as a couple or with your family. Great communication with the owners.

We had a truly amazing time here! The house was perfect for my wife and I, our two young kids, and our puppy. There was more than enough space for everyone and lots of games for the kids. The front porch is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the river views. The location cannot be beat: it is next to Mystic Seaport and a very short walk into town. Mystic itself is a wonderful town full of shops and restaurants. The neighborhood is incredibly quiet and beautiful, and the neighbors are very friendly. Gerard's communication was excellent; he answered the question or two that I had and made sure we were enjoying ourselves. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. Overall, this place is unbelievable and we cannot wait to return!

This was our third summer visit to Gerard's beautiful Mystic house. Once again we had a great time - the property is lovely, perfectly decorated, super comfortable and in a fantastic location for exploring all the charms of Mystic. Having access to the Mystic River only a few steps away is another bonus. Gerard is a wonderful, gracious host and we feel lucky to have discovered Great Gull - highly recommend any of their properties!

Gerard's place couldn't be in a better location. Beautiful water views from so many rooms of the house, and in short walking distance (but away from the car traffic) of downtown Mystic. There were power saws being used nearby (maybe at the boat building and/or museum site next door) at 7am multiple days in a row, however. But the place was well furnished and our group really enjoyed our stay overall.

This adorable home was just as advertised and more - impeccably well-appointed and spotless. Being walking distance to both the Seaport and the downtown area was so convenient. If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely revisit this home. The owner was so responsive and accommodating to all our inquiries. Would highly recommend this property.

The house is in a perfect location to enjoy all that Mystic has to offer. It is a charming home that is comfortably decorated and cozy. We felt very at home during our stay over Thanksgiving. The cottage is an added bones for extra sleeping space as well as an additional bathroom. Everything about our experience was lovely. A clean, inviting space that is great for family get togethers. Gerard is the perfect host and an excellent communicator. We can't say enough positive things about this place.

Words cannot fully describe our wonderful stay at the Great Gull. The house was a comfortable and quaint setting for my family to come together for a vacation. We cooked, talked, played cards, walked down to Mystic and made lots of great new memories. I didn’t realize it was so close to the water and was pleasantly surprised! Gerard was so attentive and responsive when we had any questions and immediately sent someone over when a light wasn’t working. He is awesome! In all of my Air BnB stays over the years, this place actually felt like home. The house is lovely and beautiful. I’d give 10 stars out of 5 if possible.

Very cozy historic home with a great deal of charm which was updated with clean and modern kitchen and bathrooms. My family particularly enjoyed the third story loft and my teenage son loved having the separate cottage to himself. Great location with a beautiful scenic walk into Mystic. So many great restaurants for a small town. Loved Captain Daniel Packet Inne - had lunch downstairs in the tavern. Awesome stay!

This was out second stay at this house and it's just as good as the first. 10 minute walk to town, plenty of room in the house for a family and the hosts are excellent at responding to any issues or questions. we will be booking here again for the third time in the near future. What a great weekend! There was so much to do and see in this lovely seaside town. Garard was the perfect host. He was always available if we had a question or concern, certainly no concerns about the house. You can park your car and walk anywhere which was a plus for us. We are looking forward to our next visit.

I can't begin to express how much we loved this house and its owner. We walked in and were immediately starstruck. Exactly as listed and flooded with natural light, this historic property is comfortable without being stuffy or over-modernized. The house is in a quiet neighborhood within easy walking distance of both downtown Mystic as well as Mystic Seaport. As it is historic, the narrow stairs might be a challenge - the main bathroom is upstairs - but there are gates and solid handrails to minimize worry. It's very clear that Great Gull takes great pride in its property and in thoughtfully taking care of its guests. Gerard checked in on us several times and was personable and friendly - we immediately nerded out about the charm of old houses - and was accessible without being intrusive for our entire stay. We really appreciated the minimal check-out procedure and Gerard's flexibility in communication. Hands-down the best place we've ever stayed, and we will definitely be returning!

I traveled to mystic with my husband, 7 month old son, my parents, and my in laws. We had plenty of space for all of us and the house worked out perfectly for what we were looking for! Gerard was very responsive with any questions or concerns we had. The home itself was very charming. It carried all the aesthetics of a coastal home with thoughtful decor. They had a height chair available as well which was so helpful! My only complaints would be the comfort of the beds. They weren’t very comfortable in the main house. Though my in laws in the cottage said the mattress was very comfortable in that part of the property, the two mattresses on the second floor bedrooms were not so much. But still, only a minor thing.. also, there was no outdoor shower as advertised. I was looking forward to taking a few outdoor showers but when I spoke to Gerard, he informed me the pipes had frozen in the winter and the shower was removed. But overall it was an amazing stay in a great location!

This home was perfect as a home base for my family of 6 (grandparents, parents, 2 young children). It is a well-maintained and perfectly furnished historic home close to the river and Mystic Seaport. The location is walkable or a short drive to all that Mystic had to offer. We also made trips to nearby Stonington Lighthouse, duBois Beach, and Noank during our stay. The house itself was very comfortable with air conditioning, a well-equipped kitchen, laundry, and fast Wifi. The host checked on us before, during, and after our stay and answered any questions we had. All in all a wonderful stay.

I will stay here again. The place was everything I thought and a lot more. Great host. Perfect location. House had everything. Easy check out. Great old house that has every modern update. Look no further.

The home is a nicely restored, multi level property; it is ideally located, well within walking distance to major attractions and restaurants ( The Seaport, center of Mystic, etc.). If one wishes to explore further, additional venues are literally only minutes away by car. The Host, Gerard, is attentive and responsive. Clearly, he has done the hosting process on numerous occasions, and it shows. The property is exactly as represented and professionally maintained and cleaned. The systems (A/C, dishwasher, TV, Audio) operate well. Entry and exit are simple and effective, utilizing a digital key code. Our Host has a number of other Airbnb locations. If I were visiting one of those areas, I would not hesitate to stay in one of his properties.

This place was very homey and perfect for a girls weekend. The location is walkable to downtown Mystic and views of the river as well. The cottage, which we renamed “the She Shed” out back was AWESOME!! The beds were so comfortable. We’d love to stay here again. The only thing to watch out for are the stairs going to floor 2 & 3. They are curved and a bit steep for people with bad knees. Other than that-this place was absolutely perfect!!!!

It’s a perfect location near the water, Mystic Seaport, drawbridge, etc. The house itself is bright, clean, well-stocked, and charming.
